Privacy Policy

This is a draft template, not final legal advice. Have a lawyer review this before real launch — especially if users outside the US may sign up (GDPR/UK GDPR, CCPA, and similar laws impose specific requirements this draft doesn't fully cover).

This Privacy Policy explains what information Found ("the App") collects, how it's used, and who it's shared with.

1. Information We Collect

Account info: your email address and a securely hashed password (we never store your actual password).
Photos you scan: sent to our AI vision provider to identify the item, and — only if you choose to publish a listing — uploaded to an image-hosting service and to eBay as listing photos.
eBay connection: if you connect your eBay seller account, we store an access token (not your eBay password) that lets the App create and publish listings on your behalf, plus the shipping address and policies you enter so listings can be fulfilled correctly.
Push notification token: if you opt in to notifications, a device token used to alert you about price watchlist targets and re-engagement reminders — not tied to any advertising identifier.
Scan & sales history: currently stored locally on your device, not on our servers.

2. Third Parties We Share Data With

These providers process data on our behalf, only as needed to power the features you use:

3. How We Use Your Information

To provide the App's core features (identification, pricing, listing publishing), maintain your account, and — if we introduce paid plans — process subscriptions via Apple's in-app purchase system. We don't sell your personal information to advertisers.

4. Data Retention & Deletion

We keep your account and eBay connection data until you delete your account or disconnect eBay. You can permanently delete your account at any time from within the App (Settings → Delete account) — this immediately removes your account record, eBay connection, and usage history from our servers. 5. Security

Passwords are stored using industry-standard hashing (never in plain text). Connections between the App and our servers are encrypted. No system is perfectly secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.

6. Children's Privacy

Found is not intended for anyone under 18. We don't knowingly collect information from children.

7. Your Choices

You can disconnect your eBay account, delete your account entirely, or request a copy of your account data at any time — account deletion is available directly in the App's Settings. Scan and sales history stays on your device and can be cleared from within the App's settings at any time.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the App changes. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do.
